Sean recently found out about a neat coffee shop in Stone Mountain (except it’s not a coffee shop, so they say) and we decided to try it recently. Gilly Brew Bar is Black-owned and in an old mansion so the space is incredible. We had a good experience!
There appear to be a lot of empty rooms especially upstairs but the coffee counter occupies a small part of the downstairs in addition to a kitchen that was churning out pizzas and a seating area. The stairs behind the counter went to the second floor seating area and access to the enormous, wrap-around porch. Very cool spaces.
To the second floor seating area
Second floor porch overlooks downtown Stone Mountain and the railroad tracks
And it has hammocks! So fun!
Oh-so-delicious coffee – this was a latte.
The train came by while we were out on the porch. It was a really long one so Harrison was enthralled the entire time. We love watching the trains so this was quite a treat. If you go, hopefully you’ll get to see a train go by, too.
