New Bites: Tomo

This isn’t technically a New Bites experience because we have been to Tomo before but it was a long time ago so I’m adding this in to the series. This, to me, is one of the most underrated sushi spots in Atlanta. The quality for the price is excellent and we had a great time there for dinner.

The restaurant, located in Buckhead on Peachtree St., is beautiful and the service was great in addition to our delicious meal. We started with drinks and tempura.

I then had yellowtail and smoked salmon nigiri – both were soft and flavorful with yummy sushi rice. The spicy scallop roll with arugula was so unique and light, and I couldn’t resist the shrimp tempura roll with asparagus because I love asparagus in sushi rolls!Sean had chirashi – his favorite – and also commented on the quality of the fish. For dessert we had the chocolate crepe cake. I believe they are a little famous for this dessert and I can see why! Light, creamy, chocolatey – what’s not to love? A lovely end to a lovely meal.
