Sure, Flash is great for banner ads, gaming, and some mobile applications, but for your website, you should be using HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3. There are many reasons for this, the main one being: nothing on your site that is built in Flash will be indexed by search engines.

Yup, that’s right. Your flashy banner that should get you ALL kinds of link love, and higher SERPs from <h1> tags and placement of keywords WON’T if it’s built in Flash.

But you’re going to ask…”What about all the cool stuff Flash can do? You mean I can’t have any of that?” The answer, now, is no. HTML5 and CSS3 can do all of that. So you can have a rockin’ interactive site that Google can FIND. Isn’t that better?
