Trust me when I say that I feel lucky every day. Not every day is perfect, but gratitude is a major pathway to happiness and I am on it. But this year for my birthday had me feeling so incredibly loved and thankful. I put this blog together with some photos to make sure I captured this special time and my wonderful husband.
It started the Saturday before my birthday with a gift of a Metallica record. Yes!!!
My friend Hayley cam to visit from Nashville for the weekend so that was extra-special that we got to celebrate. We walked along the Chattahoochee River, had a beer on the patio at Hopstix and went for Korean BBQ at Iron Age that Saturday. So fun.
Sunday, Sean surprised me with my 2nd gift – candle-making at Candlefish in Ponce City Market! Hayley joined too and it was such a blast. I love candles and we each got to pick our scents. 
Holeman and Finch burgers for lunch afterward? Yes, please!
Beautiful view of fall foliage in Atlanta from the hubby’s 33rd floor office? Yes, please!
Sean had to travel for work Monday and Tuesday but he was back Wednesday for my actual birthday and gifted me a pair of Beats headphones. So nice. We also went for a very delicious dinner at Rose + Rye in the old castle/mansion in Midtown. Very wonderful birthday!
Thursday morning he surprised me with tickets for us to see the Foo Fighters (my favorite band) during their show in Atlanta in April! And Friday he gave me a box of milk-chocolate covered potato chips from a chocolate shop in his hometown of Melbourne, FL that we love.
And although I knew about this last part, it was definitely the icing on the cake. A private wine tasting in the wine room at Osteria Mattone (our favorite Italian restaurant in metro Atlanta) with my closest friends followed by dinner in their dining room. What more could a girl want?
Well, Sean thought of that too and asked Cherish to bring me a sparkly tiara which I instantly adorned on my head! Ha!
The wine tasting was wonderful, the food was incredible and the company was best of all. I’ll leave it at that with another heartfelt thanks to my hubby. <3
