About

By day, I work in social media to stay on the forefront of technology, marketing and consumer behavior. By night, I’m an avid explorer of new things, supporter of local, and experimenter in sustainability and minimalism.

I’m originally from Ohio, and I lived and went to school in London where I received my BS and MBA, and spent a lot of time traveling through Europe and Jordan.

I’ve been living in Atlanta since 2008. Originally, this site focused on my career and networking experiences, but has changed to reflect my explorations in higher-quality living through food, the need for less, and valuable relationships.

I strive to reject materialism, and vote with my dollars to protest the harmful conagra, big pharma, and banking industries and their lack of concern for humans and the planet. I firmly believe in spending my money on goods and services that support these beliefs as much as possible, and encourage everyone to make small changes wherever possible to help affect change.

On this site, I write about my journeys into healthier living and share my findings. I also share my hobbies and adventures – gardening, sewing, cooking, time with family and friends, travel, and politics. If you’ve dropped by, please leave me a note and say “hi.”

  1. Hi Victoria,

We came across your website and wanted to reach out to you. Mutual of Omaha’s aha moment tour is going virtual, and we’re looking for stories just like yours! During the month of December, we are looking for aha moments from the Atlanta area. On December 27th, we’ll be giving away $1,000 to one lucky local who shares their aha moment story, to help them continue their aha moment journey. Would you be interested in sharing your story?

To enter, submit a photo that represents your aha moment, along with a brief description of your story, to our entry page on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/myahamoment/app_451684954848385.
The winner will be announced on Friday, December 27th.

It’s all part of Mutual of Omaha’s popular aha moment tour, which exists to uncover the real stories of positive life change from people all across the country. Through a 20-city road trip each summer, the aha moment tour has collected nearly 4,000 individual aha moments over the past 4 years in an Airstream trailer custom designed as mobile TV studio. You can view them all and learn more about the tour at http://www.ahamoment.com

Please let me know if you have any questions about submitting your aha moment or the tour in general.

We look forward to seeing your aha moment, and good luck!

    Olivia
