Grab-and-Go Breakfast Burritos

Ah, Pinterest – the source of my food inspiration. I’ve had such fun trying recipes I’ve found on the site and this one was no exception. The concept is great – make a huge batch of breakfast burritos, wrap in saran wrap, and freeze. When you need a quick breakfast on your way out the door, take one out of the freezer, heat in the microwave for a couple minutes and enjoy. Works for me! Continue reading

Easiest Salsa Ever!

I recently started a little garden on my patio with herbs – cilantro, basil, lavender, mint and lemon thyme, and vegetables – tomatoes, red bell peppers, and jalapenos.

The vegetables aren’t ready yet, but I’ve been dying to start using the herbs so I threw together a salsa with the remains of other veggies in my kitchen. It was so easy and so delicious. I won’t be buying salsa from the store ever again. Continue reading

The Ocean

There is something deeply moving, and yet deeply unsettling about the ocean. The calmness, the vastness, the force. Whatever has happened or changed in my life, I can go to the ocean to see it’s continuous sameness, giving me an ultimate place to reflect.
