Another fantastic recipe found on Pinterest, I made these Sriracha Turkey Meatballs for the Thanksgiving potluck at my office. I think they were the first dish to be completely gone – wow! Sriracha is definitely a popular food condiment here, and I think it added to the appeal for my coworkers. 😉 Either way, these were a crowd-pleaser and would be great for any upcoming holiday parties. Caramel Apple Tart
My baking adventures thus far have included various kinds of cupcakes and frosting, and one amazing cookie recipe (coming soon). I wanted to try making something different to gain some new skills and learn, so I found a recipe on Pinterest for an Apple Dulce De Leche Tart. Here goes! Continue reading
Save the Basil!
A bit of a sensationalist title, but it can be a real problem. Basil grows beautifully all summer and we get used to cutting fresh leaves for pasta, Caprese salad, infused simple syrups, and yummy additions to lemonade and tea. Then, inevitably, the nights get colder and it stops growing. 🙁 Why can’t we have fresh, delicious basil all winter?
There’s a way! I found this tip on Pinterest and I tried it –
Crock Pot Chicken Taco Chili
Mmm, tacos. Mmm, chili. Tacos and chili? Yes, please! I found this recipe on Pinterest and decided to make it for the viewing party I hosted for the third-party debates. It seemed like it would be a crowd-pleaser and easy to make.
The original recipe said it would serve 6, but I wanted to make a little more, so I added more tomatoes, chicken, onion and sauce…and changed a few other small things to make it my own – as I always do. I can’t help it – I have to tinker! 😉 Continue reading
Thai Chicken Coconut Curry Soup

It’s fall and the weather is getting colder…er…it’s still 75 degrees here in Atlanta. However, the humidity has dropped and the nights are getting cool, so that’s as good a reason as any to start making soup. Continue reading
Grab-and-Go Breakfast Burritos
Ah, Pinterest – the source of my food inspiration. I’ve had such fun trying recipes I’ve found on the site and this one was no exception. The concept is great – make a huge batch of breakfast burritos, wrap in saran wrap, and freeze. When you need a quick breakfast on your way out the door, take one out of the freezer, heat in the microwave for a couple minutes and enjoy. Works for me! Continue reading
Know Yourself
If I could give one gift to the people in my life, it would be the gift of knowing yourself. I feel that all progress I make in my life spiritually, emotionally, and professionally is a direct result of knowing myself. Continue reading
Easiest Salsa Ever!
I recently started a little garden on my patio with herbs – cilantro, basil, lavender, mint and lemon thyme, and vegetables – tomatoes, red bell peppers, and jalapenos.
The vegetables aren’t ready yet, but I’ve been dying to start using the herbs so I threw together a salsa with the remains of other veggies in my kitchen. It was so easy and so delicious. I won’t be buying salsa from the store ever again. Continue reading
