CLT to the ATL: Part 1

IMG_20130720_120403It was so wonderful to have my friends Lindsey and Dan come for a visit last weekend with their sweet baby Adeline and their dog Nya. Lindsey and I have known each other since middle school, but have become much closer over the years, especially since she lives in Charlotte, NC and it’s not far for visits a few times a year.

The bf and I were busy all week re-doing the guest bathroom, so we were more than happy for a weekend of fun! When they arrived on Friday evening, the dogs went crazy! Stella and Nya are BFFs, and Chelsea was more than happy to get in on the play. Continue reading

A Weekend Filled With Southern Charm in Savannah

Sean and I went to Savannah for an extended visit where I met his mom and stepdad for the first time. They drove up from Florida and stayed in a hotel downtown while Sean and I stayed with my friend Ryan at his house in Ardsley Park.

We had an action-packed, fun-filled long weekend, and I was NOT ready to leave that beautiful city when Sunday arrived. But I know we’ll be back soon, and I’ve got plenty of stories and photos to hold me over. Continue reading

Highlights from Denver: Snow, Art, Beer, and Food

The bf and I recently returned from a trip to Denver to visit one of his oldest and closest friends. I’d been to Denver as a little kid, so I was excited to be going somewhere “new” and to see and experience a different city. Healthy Eats for the Air

I recently wrote a post about eating healthy on road trips, which is pretty easy because I can take whatever I want and have plenty of space for coolers in my car. But what about when flying? I’ve never liked eating at airports for cost reasons, but on my recent trip to Denver I had to make sure everything I packed was healthy, too.
