It’s hard to believe we’re celebrating our first Christmas with baby Harrison already! We’ve had a blast dressing him up in numerous holiday-themed outfits, some that were hand-me-downs from friends and some that were new from the grandmas. Harrison also saw Santa, went to holiday markets, hosted a gift exchange, slept over at Auntie Krista and Uncle Greg’s house, went to a gingerbread house decorating party, and has gotten tons and tons of cuddles and kisses from our many wonderful friends. I wanted to capture and share our favorite photos from this special time – take a look and enjoy! Continue reading
New Bites: Hattie B’s Hot Chicken
After a loooooooong wait, Hattie B’s finally opened in Atlanta earlier this year. I had my first experience with Nashville Hot Chicken a few years ago in Nashville and when I heard Hattie B’s was planning to expand to the A, I stalked the updates of the project. Given my excitement and having been a couple of times already, I had to feature them on my New Bites series! Continue reading

Recipe: Chorizo, Kale and Onion Quiche
I love quiche. Sean loves quiche. Quiches are a frequent breakfast, lunch or even dinner in our house. I always make up my perfect pie crust and find that quiches are a great way to use up vegetables that need eaten or, in this case, to creatively use a yummy meat like chorizo. This is a quick and easy recipe for a family meal or to share with friends at brunch, etc. Continue reading
The Baby Chronicles: Harrison Jeffrey at 2 Months
On November 5, Harrison turned 2 months old! He continues to be a truly pleasant baby and I’m loving him more every day as we continue to bond. Being home with him is so nice and I’m trying my best to enjoy this special time as much as I can. As you can see from these photos, he has grown and changed a lot!
This onesie is from Cherish and Chris and was the first baby item we got. 🙂 Valerie gave me the gift bag and couldn’t resist letting me know before I opened it that “it’s a onesie. It’s for your baby!” That girl, she kills me. 😉 Continue reading
New Bites: Momonoki Cafe
Last November, we traveled to Japan for 10 days and had an incredible experience with the culture, scenery, cities and FOOD. We fell completely in love with Japanese food – its diversity is astounding and we continue to find ourselves seeking out restaurants across Atlanta to satisfy our cravings for everything from sushi to soba.
When we heard about a new Japanese cafe called Momonoki in Midtown, we knew we had to try it. The green tea soft serve ice cream was an immediate draw – we had some at a temple in Kyoto that I still dream about. I’ve been to Momonoki Cafe twice since it opened this past summer. Here’s what I recommend, along with some tips. Continue reading
Welcome, Baby Harrison: Newborn Photos
A week after we came from home the hospital with Harrison, we had newborn photos done at our house. Our friend and local Atlanta area photographer Elizabeth Buergler took the photos and we are absolutely thrilled with how they turned out. If you are looking for a talented, professional photographer for family, lifestyle or headshot photography, we highly recommend you give her a call! Her work speaks for itself, as you can see here. She also helped us with wardrobe ideas, poses, etc. We now have beautiful photographs of our little family to last a lifetime. <3 I hope you enjoy the photos! Continue reading
